What inspired this picture? Many, many things. First off, the night itself, the only moment I feel right, at home. I can be sitting in front of my computer at 3am, or walking in a graveyard with my boyfriend, but I feel full, alive, beautiful, I feel myself. I worship the goddess Nyx. I also fear the night, and I lust for that fear. Another thing that inspired this are some songs.. "Résumé" by Sopor Aeternus. It's more about time, but to me, night is when the time stops. "Fear of the dark" by Iron Maiden, you all know why. Finally "Born of the night" by Midnight Syndicate: A beautiful piece that reflects everything that night is.
